You are the one who sees every day what happens when support is lacking. And you are, often, the one who holds the document that can change it.

Your criteria is not an opinion: it is a document

The individualised support plan (PI) is created by the teaching team "with the participation of the family and the student" (article 12 of Decret 150/2017). What you write there about the support a child needs remains, and is what is looked at later.

The CAEI can be convened

The Comissió d'Atenció Educativa Inclusiva is the centre's body that agrees on support requests. The 2023-2024 course version of the management document stated: «The request for the monitoring service is made through the EAP, once the requests have been agreed upon in the CAEI». That paragraph is no longer in the current version —now the circuit is on the intranet— but this is the way.

Asking the EAP to redo annex 4

The Protocol per avaluar les necessitats de suport complementari provides as a reason the "review of complementary educational support hours […] request from the centre". If the assessment is outdated, it can be redone. In motor cases, it should be signed by the physiotherapist of the EAP.

Put it in writing

Verbal management does not exist. An email sent once and abandoned is not a claim either. What counts is what is registered: requests to the territorial service with an entry date, CAEI minutes, reports to the Inspection.

And the outings

They must be communicated to the territorial service at least 30 days in advance, and there is a period to report all those for the course: from September 2 to October 11. This is the procedure most often done late, and the one that leaves children at home on the day of the excursion.
