Who to write to

Most families write to those closest to them —the school management— and remain stuck for months. This page tells you who decides, what they are called, and in what order to write.

Vetlla writes the draft for you

You don't need to draft anything from scratch. Vetlla, the assistant of this site, knows the regulations, the resolutions of the DOGC, the precedents of the GAIP, and the reports of the Sindic de Greuges, and always cites the source with the link. It can help you write the submission to the management, the territorial service, the Inspection, or the Sindic de Greuges, tell you which deadlines are running, and translate an official document for you. Step by step, in this order

  1. School management. In writing, requesting a registered copy. They are the ones who distribute the hours among the children.
  2. Student Unit of your territorial service. This is the operational level: that is where the files are.
  3. Territorial Inspection. This is the control body and can enter the centre.
  4. Management of the territorial service. This is who signs. According to the service specifications, «cualquier modificación que se produzca durante el curso escolar deberá ser autorizada por la dirección de los servicios territoriales».
  5. Registry of the territorial service. Always send a copy there: it provides a certain date and starts the deadlines.
  6. Sindic de Greuges and transparency request, in parallel and not afterwards.
  7. Parliamentary group, if nothing moves: a deputy obtains the information in 15 days.

The twelve territorial education offices

Data verified on the Department's official pages in September 2026. The names of unit heads are only public for Maresme-Vallès Oriental, the only office that publishes its full organisation chart.
