Data from the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya · four school years · 5434 schools in Catalonia
The hours your school receives,
and the ones you are told about.
Every year the Department of Education publishes, school by school, the support-worker hours it funds. It publishes them inside thirty-page PDFs that nobody reads. We have read them all.
5434 schools in Catalonia · 568 with hours published in the DOGC · 16.369,0 weekly hours funded in 2025-2026
Subscribe so we can coordinate
Separate cases get filed away one by one. Together, they do not. Law 24/2009 on the Catalan Ombudsman allows complaints about the same facts to be joined (art. 40) and allows anyone to request an own-initiative investigation on behalf of a group (art. 27.1.b).
We write to you when something happens that affects you: a new DOGC resolution, a change in hours, a deadline approaching.
We do not ask for any diagnosis or for the child\'s full name. If you are a teacher or a support worker you can leave the school field blank: we never publish data that could identify who told us.

schools have lost support-worker hours between 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.
That is 34 % of all schools whose hours are published.

Vetlla, the assistant, answers 24 hours a day
Vetlla is this site's assistant. It knows the regulations, the DOGC resolutions, the GAIP precedents and the Ombudsman's reports, and it always cites the source with a link. It can:
- explain what right you have and where it is written;
- help you draft the letter to the school, the territorial office, the inspectorate or the Ombudsman;
- tell you which deadlines are running and which date you cannot miss;
- translate an official document into your language.
It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including when the school is closed and you cannot sleep. You will find it in the bubble at the bottom right.
Vetlla does not give personalised legal advice and will never ask for your child's diagnosis or full name. For a specific case, write to daniele@glacom.com.
Three documents they cite and do not publish
- The «Criteris del nou model d'assignació d'hores de monitoratge de suport».
- The «calendari anual establert pel Departament» referred to in the service tender.
- The territorial instructions: only Barcelona publishes its own.
Tens of thousands of hours are distributed using criteria that families cannot read.
If your child\'s school has also had its hours cut
You are not alone. There are at least 192 other families in the same situation and most of them do not know it, because this data is explained nowhere.
