Situation of SEN students at a center in Lleida
It has been reported that an educational center in Lleida has 98% of its 286 students considered as SEN (Special Educational Needs). This situation highlights the need to analyze whether the students have the appropriate support for their needs.
In Lleida, there are 13 centers with published hours, 5 of which lost hours between the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years. This loss occurs within a context where, according to the Ombudsman's report from January 2025, 23.2% of centers (466 out of 2,011) saw their allocation reduced despite a global increase of 15.5% in hours.
For subsidized schools (concertats), the calculation of hours is based on Annex 4 (Protocol for evaluating complementary support needs), which scores up to 81 points across four blocks. The current caretaker module is 450.00 EUR per weekly hour and school year.
