Evolution of support monitoring hours for students with special educational needs
An increase has been observed in the support monitoring hours for students with special educational needs. According to the Ombudsman's report from January 2025, there has been an overall increase of 15.5% in hours.
Despite this general increase, the distribution is not uniform. The same report indicates that 23.2% of centers (466 out of 2,011) have seen their allocation reduced. Specifically, out of 574 centers with published hours, 193 lost hours between the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years.
In the Girona area, there are 9 centers with published hours, 4 of which suffered a loss of hours between the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years.
