Reduction of support hours at Virolet School
The availability of support hours is fundamental to ensuring that every child has the accompaniment they need during their school day. In the case of Virolet School, a loss of 54% of hours has been recorded from one year to another.
This situation occurs within a context where, according to the Ombudsman's report from January 2025, 23.2% of centers (466 out of 2,011) have seen their allocation reduced, despite there having been a global increase of 15.5% in hours.
The calculation of these hours is based on Annex 4 (Protocol for evaluating complementary support needs), which scores up to 81 points across four blocks to determine the necessary support for the students.
